Intermediate Apprenticeship in Pharmacy Services
 
An apprenticeship is an integrated programme consists of following components:
• Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Services Skills (QCF)- Competence Qualification
• Level 2 Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences – Knowledge Qualification
• Functional Skills (Only for those apprentices who did not achieve GCSE grades )
• Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
• Personal Learning and Thinking Skills ( PLTS)

 

Level 2 Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences

 

An Apprentice will achieve 6 Units to gain the full qualification, three mandatory units and three optional units. Tutors will teach each unit in full breadth by using all relevant resources and using different delivery methods. Once the apprentice is confident then on line controlled assessment for each unit will take place as per timetable.

NVQ level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Services Skills (QCF)

 

An Apprentice will achieve 3 mandatory units and 4 optional units (7 units in total) to gain the full qualification. An apprentice will provide range of evidence from their work placement and demonstrate the consistency for each unit. The college will assign an assessor to each apprentice who will assess the apprentice’s competencies for each unit against the qualification occupational standards using electronic portfolio systems.

Other Important Information

This course is for 16-24yrs.
All components of the Apprenticeship are designed to be completed within maximum 12 months. You can progress to level .
Once qualified, you can work in a variety of sectors such as community / hospital pharmacy or in the pharmaceutical industry. You can progress to level 3 pharmacy technician course.
