An apprenticeship is a work-based training programme which offers practical skills which you can later on practice on your work. Inspire Middlesex College is delighted to offer Advanced Level 3 apprenticeship in pharmacy which will help you accomplish both job-training and theoretical learning in a pharmacy setting and give you chance to earn while you learn. Even after completing this course, you will also have better chances of getting a higher paid job.
Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Pharmacy Service

This is a two-year course where continuous assessment will be carried out within your work place. For studying this course, you will have to attend the college once a week only.

After the successful completion of this nationally gained apprenticeship in pharmacy programme, you will gain the vocational qualifications and can register yourself as Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical council.

Apprenticeship framework consists of following components:

  • Competence = Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF)
  • Knowledge = Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science
  • Functional Skills = Maths and English at Level 2 ( not required for those already achieved GCSE grade A-C in Maths & English within last 5 years)
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) = Complete workbook
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification, however the college will ensure that candidates have the potential and opportunity to gain the qualification successfully.


To achieve the full award the average duration for completion is 12 months


Pharmacy Technician: £1600 Per Year
Pharmacy Assistance: £850

  • 16-24 years
  • GCSE grade A-C in Maths & English or equivalent qualifications or will need to undertake Functional skills
